NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) - Jereal Scott sank two free throws with 34 seconds left in overtime to provide the winning margin as Stephen F. Austin edged Sam Houston State 67-66 on Wednesday night.  Desmond Haymon hit three 3-pointers and led the Lumberjacks (10-9, 4-2 Southland) with 18 points. Scott scored 15 and Antonio Bostic 10. Taylor Smith had 11 rebounds.

Konner Tucker scored 20 points on six 3-pointers and two free throws for the Bearkats (8-13, 2-5), who missed three shots in the final 20 seconds of overtime. Demarcus Gatlin scored 13, and Darius Gatson and Marcus James had 11 each.

Sam Houston State trailed by 15 points midway through the second half and was still behind 60-52 with 2:53 remaining. But the Bearkats, who dropped their third in a row, cut it to 61-58 before Tucker's 3-pointer with 15 seconds left forced overtime. Stephen F. Austin has held every opponent under 70 points.
