Kids take to the garden to 'Keep Tyler Beautiful'

The kids at St. Louis Head Start had a chance to help Keep Tyler Beautiful on Thursday.

They planted daffodil bulbs in the school yard, and will see the fruits of their labors this spring.

The teachers managed to work in lessons on the alphabet and counting while the students learned about gardening.

Some of the children in Joyce Henderson's Pre-K class had never done anything like this before.

"This is a new experience for several of our children," said Head Start Director Gloria Bell, "It will be very rewarding for them in the spring as they see their products come to fruition. The Children are ecstatic when they see the flowers bloom in the spring."

St. Louis School has about 140 kids and this is the second year they've teamed up with Keep Tyler Beautiful.
