TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The best high school seniors in East Texas will get one more chance to play under the lights. The Heart of a Champion Bowl will return for a second year.
Monday morning coaches were named for the Northeast Texas F.C.A. all star football game. Lindale's Mike Meador will lead the blue squad while John Tyler's Dereck Rush will lead the red team. Several other of the top coaches in East Texas will also be on staff. The inaugural bowl was a big success last season.
"Probably five to six thousand people came out to watch it (last year)," said Meador. "We're excited about the opportunity. East Texas has some great athletes we're going to highlight and showoff."
This year's game will be June 9th at Longview Lobo Stadium.
