Longview teen arrested for burglary after brief chase

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A Longview woman has been charged with burglary and evading arrest, after a brief police chase yesterday.

Around 2 pm yesterday, a woman called police saying her home had been burglarized and she thought the thieves might still be inside.

Minutes later, officers caught up with a van leaving the house, a low speed chase started, ending at 14th and Young Streets with a foot chase.

Police arrested 17-yea-old Nakeyta Norris and recovered items taken from two separate burglaries an hour prior to her arrest.

Three juvenile males were also taken into custody.

Norris is charged with two counts of burglary of a habitat and evading arrest, and is being held on $70,000 bond.
