Suspects identified in Christmas theft

Posted: Updated:
LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Finally, a bit of good news comes from a sad story. In December, thieves stole nearly 15,000 dollars in presents from the foster children of the Gregg County Child Welfare Board.

Longview Police say Racheal Bradley and Sarah Adams of Longview are suspected of the theft.

Kristie Brian with the Longview PD says a tip came in after some of the stolen items were sold.

"The suspects, the alleged suspects, did have the property, you know, even after the story came out that it was stolen. They had it and continued to keep it for a while," she said.

The suspects haven't been charged yet, but authorities say that could change as more property is recovered.

Longview Police are asking anyone who may have purchased or received stolen property to notify authorities.
