It was an afternoon of creativity at Pottery Cafe for Meghan. This freshman is outgoing and friendly. Her teachers all say she is a joy to have in class.
"My favorite subject in school right now is Math. Well, I'm taking Geometry AP, so that's my favorite," Meghan said.
But geography is a different story.
Meghan is a very active young lady. She enjoys playing sports and attending church and school activities. Meghan says she doesn't like to sit around the house being a couch potato.
"I'm busy with all the sports and stuff I play. I play basketball and softball. I run track. I do power lifting and I play football," Meghan said.
She was the first girl in her high school to play football and even saw some action on the field as a freshman. The only sport Meghan doesn't play is volleyball. Meghan refers to herself as a tomboy, but has recently started wearing dresses and makeup. When she's not busy on the court, track or field, Meghan likes to relax.
"Usually sleep and hang out with friends," Meghan said.
Meghan enjoys going to the movies, shopping, and going to church. She says it doesn't matter which church she attends as long as it is Christ-centered. She also likes a variety of music from modern Christian Pop to R&B/Hip-Hop. Meghan has even been known to turn up the volume on some Barry Manilow!
As for her future, "I want to major in Kinesiology and I want to be a sports physical therapist," Meghan said.
And she hopes to follow that dream at Baylor or Texas A&M.
When it comes to her forever family, Meghan wants a family that will be there for her.
"Some who cares, someone who would go to all my sporting events and everything, who would care about my school work and help me if I needed it," Meghan said.
Overall, Meghan bonds with others and has no trust problems. To know her is to love her and hopefully there is a family out there that show Meghan the Gift of Love.
