Longview man killed in motorcycle wreck

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A young man was killed when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding.

According to authorities, 22-year-old Patrick Alexander Ramey II was traveling eastbound on a motorcycle on Tenneryville Road when he failed to make the curve at the Lafamo Road intersection.

The motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Judge BH Jameson pronounced Ramey dead at 2:20 am, Tuesday.

Friends of the family have set up a fund to help the family pay for funeral expenses. If you'd like to donate, checks can be made payable to the Spring Hill First Baptist Church at 4000 Gilmer Road in Longview. Be sure to note in the memo that the funds are for Ramey funeral expenses.

Also, Carino's Italian is accepting donations to help the family with expenses and will hold a benefit night this Thursday. Ramey was an employee of the restaurant.
