A wreck involving a lost load of live chickens slowed traffic heading into the northside of Tyler this morning.
According to authorities, a trailer loaded with live chickens came loose from the truck that was hauling it on 69 Mineola Hwy at County Road 490, just after 5:30 am.
A number of chickens were lost and crews had to temporarily close both southbound lanes to clean up from the wreck.
At this time all lanes have been re-opened and traffic is back to normal.
