The former Smith County jail trusty, who claimed the sheriff's office sold federal surplus property to the public, has been arrested.
29 year old Bradley King Hanks, was arrested Wednesday on a felony theft warrant. Earlier this year Hanks told investigators while a trusty at the Smith County Jail he helped transport surplus items to East Texas. He also claimed some of those items were sold at a flea market. Hanks is free tonight on a 20 thousand dollar bond.
