Thieves stash over 1,000 dollars worth of alcohol in their pants

WINONA, TX (KLTV) - In the surveillance video, you can see a man stuffing bottles of alcohol down his pants.

The video also shows this man wasn't working alone. Another man was also involved in this Pre-New Year's alcohol heist.

Happy Jacks Too owner Scott Williamson says one of the men was distracting the cashier by asking how to make a certain drink.

During that time, the other man was stuffing bottles down his pants. He made a few trips to the car to drop of the alcohol before returning inside to grab more. And, those bottles add up.

"A bottle here and there it happens. Eleven hundred dollars...doesn't happen all the time," said Williamson.

These guys allegedly hit at least three liquor stores in the area--all within walking distance. And, 1 Stop Shop was on the list.

"He walked out with a half gallon Hennessy and a half gallon of Paul Mason," said Cashier Kathy Wideman.

Williamson turned the video over to the Winona Police, who he says are investigating the alcohol heist. He hopes the video's release will lead to the capture of these pant-stuffing crooks.
