Shoppers find the 'kindness' of Christmas

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - It's easy to get caught up in the holiday madness. But, even with the holiday headaches, East Texans can find things to lift their spirits.

Some find that the lights, music and even the sound of bells, brings out their holiday spirits. But, it also brings out the best in those around them.

"I've had people come over and help because I was not feeling well," said Donna Smoker.

Marilyn Jenkins said those around her actually improved her health this holiday season.

"The people at the Olympic Center of ETMC have really helped me to try  to work through my problems and exercise and do what needs to be done for me," she told us.

Another shopper, Larry Frogge, says not being left out in the rain got him in the holiday spirit.

"One of the shuttle people...instead of waiting in the long line in the rain to catch the shuttle bus, he came up with a small, personal mover and picked my wife and I up and took us to the front door," he said.

So after a little digging, we found that the Christmas spirit is still there--if we are willing to look.
