FedEx worker caught tossing monitor, FedEx responds

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The Internet is abuzz after surveillance video was posted online showing a man who appears to be a FedEx delivery driver tossing a monitor over a fence.

The video which was posted to YouTube has attracted nearly three million views.

"The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate," wrote the original poster goobie55.

"We all continue to be surprised by the behavior as we see the video again and again," said FedEx spokesperson Shea Leordeanu.

Leordeanu called this an aberration.

"It's just simply not reflective of the outstanding FedEx customer service," she said.

When FedEx learned what happened, they quickly sent a senior manager to the customer's home to replace the monitor.

"The situation has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction," said Leordeanu.

Leordeanu said little of the employee's fate.

"We are handling him according to our internal disciplinary policies," she said.

That ranges from counseling to termination.

In less than 24 hours, the shipping giant began using the video as an internal teaching tool.

"That you have got to treat every single box that comes into your possession the same way that you would treat your own items," said Leordeanu.

Leordeanu said she trusts customers will see through this single incident and know that it does not represent the company as a whole.

"We are proud of what we do around the world," she said.  "The grand majority of our customers understand that for us, every single package is the golden package."

The John Tyler Lions always seem to look sharp in their uniforms. But thanks to East Texas lawyer Keith Miller, the Lions will look better and play safer. Helmets that advertise lowering the impact of hits, and possibly reduce the amount of concussions, come with a hefty price-tag. Miller's donation of 7,500 dollars, will go to help the lions cover that cost. "Keith Miller's been a big sponsor of John Tyler High School football program for years now.  I know it's...More >>

The last time we talked about the Kilgore Bulldogs, quarterback Buddy Jackson and wide receiver Jonathan Shepherd were apart of the 800-meter relay team that won gold at the 2017 state track meet. But today they are back in the pads, and looking to turn their speed into touchdowns.  Competing in District 9-4A, Kilgore has always had a strong run game that helped them become the 2016 District Champs.
