UPDATE: A father took a break from work this afternoon to take his six-year-old son out looking for minnows.
He works for a construction company that is putting in a sewer line right next to his home. While spending time with his son they spotted a body in the grass near the water. The father sent his son home immediately and yelled to his co-workers for help.
"We were just working and then one of our buddies saw it so we just checked it out. We couldn't believe it once we saw it. It was crazy I've never seen nothing like that before," says James Iribarren.
They immediately called police who had the area blocked off for hours. A sergeant with Longview police tell us they have identified the body as an elderly male who has been missing since July of this year.
Police say the man had identification in his pocket, but they are not releasing the identity until the family has been notified.
