House set to vote on payroll tax break

The drama over extending the payroll tax break continues as the house is set to vote on the measure today.

Last week the Senate agreed to temporarily extend those tax cuts, along with emergency federal unemployment benefits, for another two months.

But house speaker John Boehner says the House will not support a temporary plan.

"You know, I've been around here for awhile. I've seen Congress kick the can down the road, kick the can down the road.  It's time to stop the nonsense," Boehner said.

He also said he wants to see the measures renewed for a whole year, not just two months.

The House and the Senate have been unable to agree on how to pay for the 12-month extension.
