Proud of East texas: Goodman Victorian Christmas

At the Goodman-LeGrande Museum's "Victorian Christmas", you can step back in time and enjoy the holidays as they were celebrated in a simpler and yet more elegant time. The historic Goodman-Legrand House and Museum is holding an open house Thursday, December 8th from 4: to 8: p.m. And is free to the pulbic.

The 1859 mansion is filled with the Goodman and LeGrande family furniture, household goods, and clothing, making it a one of a kind treasure of its era. Sally Goodman LeGrande left the house and its nine acre park to the City of Tyler. Tyler Parks and Recreation runs the house and keeps it open to the public.. For its open house, the home is decorated in style of the Victorian era. The Goodman-LeGrande House and Museum is located at 624 North Broadway in Tyler.
