UPDATE: Connie Young turned herself into Wood County authorities early Friday morning.

Young has already posted bail, on a $25,000 bond.

Wood County, TX (KLTV) - KLTV 7 has just learned Connie Young of Golden has been indicted for the hit and run that killed a Mineola teenager.

In October, 15 year old Jacob Burrell was killed while he was walking home from karate class on Highway 69. DPS says Young moved over to the shoulder to let another car pass, and that is when Jacob was hit.

Young has been charged with Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury/Death. Her bond was set on November 18 for $25,000. If convicted, the Texas Penal Code says Young could be sentenced to two to 10 years in prison with a fine up to $10,000.

We spoke with Burrell's mother and with the law office of Young's defense attorney. Neither had a comment for KLTV tonight.
