World's Largest Locomotive Visits Tyler

A staple of America's past made it's way through Tyler Saturday.

The world's largest operating steam locomotive made a stop at the old Tyler Train Depot. More than 300 people attended the event.

The 61-year-old steam engine is operated by Union Pacific Railroad and is on it's way to Houston for this year's Superbowl.

The steam engine measures 122-feet long, has six foot high wheels and weighs more than a million pounds. The engine will be on display in Houston all next week, highlighting railroad heritage.
