LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - State Representative David
Simpson (R-Longview) today filed for re-election to the Texas House of
Representatives, District 7. Hundreds of grassroots supporters have already
contributed to his re-election campaign since the end of the legislative
session this past summer.
District 7 currently encompasses Gregg County
and the northern part of Smith County. However, after the redistricting process
District 7 will be comprised of the entirety of both Gregg and Upshur Counties.
This change will be effective for the March 6th Republican primary
and when the Legislature convenes in 2013.
