WELL AS YOU MAY HAVE SEEN EARLIER HERE ON KLTV ONE ANGLER, HAD ONE HECK OF A FISHING TRIP, CODY MULLENNIX OF SHERMAN THAT CAUGHT THE WORLD RECORD 121LB. CATFISH NOW WAITS TO SEE IF IT WILL BE AN INTERNATIONAL GAME FISH ASSOCIATION RECORD BECAUSE IT WAS ON 20LB. TEST LINE. IT IS ALREADY CERTIFIED AS A TEXAS STATE ROD AND REEL RECORD. I TALKED TO ALAN FORSHAGE, AT THE TEXAS FRESHWATER FISHERIES CENTER EARLIER AND HE SAID THIS FISH HAS BROUGHT NATION WIDE RESPONSE. BY THE WAY THERE IS HOPE, IN RESPECT TO THIS FISH'S AGE OF APPROXIMATELY 40 YEARS, THAT AFTER SPENDING SOME TIME AT THE FRESHWATER FISHERIES CENTER IN ATHENS WHERE YOU CAN SEE HER IN A WEEK OR TWO, SHE WILL LATER BE RELEASED BACK INTO LAKE TEXOMA WHERE SHE WAS CAUGHT. IF YOU DIDN'T HEAR IT ONLY TOOK HIM 20 MINUTES TO LAND THE 121LB 8 OUNCE BLUE CATFISH.
