TYLER, TX (KLTV) - After the Black Friday hysteria...many are unaware of "Small Business Saturday."
This afternoon, we made a stop by Don's TV and Appliance where the deals were still in full swing.
At first, Manager Brian Thedford was a bit weary of Small Business Saturday because it comes the day after Black Friday. But he soon found it as an opportunity.
"Black Friday is the lowest prices of the year. So, it's allowed us as a small business to go ahead and basically get two days in of the great Black Friday prices," he said.
Linda Warren came in for a new refrigerator. But that's not all that lured her in. She says the customer service is wonderful and those who work here give go the extra mile.
"He's trying everything he can to get me-my refrigerator. I really appreciate that from my heart," said Warren.
The same vibe can be found at Mattress Junction. Manager Julie Hogan says small businesses and the community go hand-in-hand.
"Good quality customer service and we care about the community," she told us about her store.
