Giving thanks: it's good for your health

WASHINGTON (AP) - Count your blessings this Thanksgiving. It's good for you.

Psychologists have been studying gratitude more in the last several years. And they have found in many experiments that counting your blessings is one of humanity's most powerful emotions.

It makes you happier and can change your attitude about life, like an emotional reset button. Especially in hard times, like these.

Psychologists say it helps connect us with other people. And gratitude often is a positive loop in which everyone feels better.

One big tip they say is to keep a regular journal of what you are thankful for.
