TYLER, TX (KLTV) -Slippery roads are partly to blame for a car crashing into a power pole in Tyler this morning.
The wreck happened around 7:45 am on Old Jacksonville Highway south of Sunnybrook.
According to Tyler PIO, Don Martin, the woman was traveling northbound and trying to change lanes in a curve.
She was traveling too fast for the wet conditions and lost control of her vehicle.
The vehicle went into a spin, jumping the curve and crashed into a power pole, knocking utility wires down into the roadway before coming to rest on top of a brick wall.
The driver and her 6-year-old daughter, who was in the backseat of the car, were both transported to a Tyler hospital with minor injuries.
One northbound lane of traffic is still shut down while crews remove utility cables from the roadway.
