Alarm spoils Sunday morning burglary attempt

On 11/20/2011 at about 4:23 AM, Tyler Police received a residential alarm in the 300 block of W. First St.  Tyler Police Dispatch then received a call from a neighbor who witnessed a man running from the house where the audible burglar alarm system was going off.  Tyler Police Officers arriving on scene discovered that the back door of the residence had been forced open.  Tyler Police Officer Noe Balderas then located a man matching the description of that given by the witness approximately six blocks from the scene.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of the subject detained by Officer Balderas.  The suspect, identified as 27 year old Antonio Hernandez, was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
