UPDATE: The identity of the victim in Thursday morning's fatal wreck on I-20 has been released.

DPS confirms that Andrew Mayfield was pronounced on the scene by JP Alford.

Mayfield's body has been taken to Down's Funeral Home in Marshall.

Officials say Mayfield was wearing a seatbelt.

HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KSLA) - Texas' Department of Public Safety has confirmed one fatality in a fiery wreck involving two 18-wheelers on I-20 outside of Marshall Thursday morning.

The eastbound lanes of I-20 have been shut down since one big rig apparently rear-ended another near mile marker 620 at FM 31 just before 5:30 a.m.

Authorities say the eastbound lanes will remain shut down until the Department of Transportation can inspect a bridge at that location to ensure it remains structurally sound following the fiery wreck.

Right now traffic is being diverted to either highway 80 or a nearby Farm to Market Rd.
