NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman accused of attacking a disabled man after he told her to leave his home.

Amber Hope Osage, 29, of Nacogdoches, is charged with injury to disabled.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, deputies responded to a reported assault on November 8 at a residence in Nacogdoches County. Deputies learned that Osage was at the residence with a disabled man who asked her to help his caretaker get him to his bed. When Osage refused, he told her to leave, according to the report.

Osage then went into his room and hit him in the face several times, the report stated. She then came back to the room two more times and hit him in the face more, according to the report.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said the victim is a quadriplegic and that Osage worked as a second caretaker in the home. He said the victim and other caretaker had woken her up to move him, when she wasn't on her work shift, which made her mad.

The sheriff's office obtained a warrant for Osage's arrest on November 9. She was booked into the jail on Monday.
