UPDATE: Off Runway landing at Gladwater Airport

UPDATE: We have now confirmed that the plane crash was caused as the result of the right engine on the aircraft failing. One person remains in intensive care, while the other four were treated and then released.


UPDATE: The airplane took off from the Natchitoches, LA airport and was attempting to land at the Gladewater airport.


UPDATE: The aircraft that landed off the runway is a twin engine Cessna 401 that was built in 1969. It is owned by a man in Alabama.

UPDATE: Officials have confirmed with KLTV that one of the trapped passengers has been pulled from the plane.

Gladewater, TX (KLTV) - Police have confirmed that a plane landed off the runway at Gladwater airport.

Initial reports indicate that there are multiple injuries and that two passengers may be trapped in the aircraft.
