East Texans experience Oklahoma quake

LONGVIEW,TX (KLTV)- Several East Texans were in Oklahoma at the time of Saturday's quake, and tell us it was like nothing they had every experienced before.

"What I thought I heard was hail hitting the windows, I realized that my bed was shaking and the sound of the windows was actually the windows creaking in their frames, everything the whole house was shaking, when you're laying in bed and you can literally see your walls shaking , yea you definitely think about getting out of the house," said Ray Didlot calling from Ulega Oklahoma.

"We were on the 9th floor of a hotel and we felt it pretty good, it was just movement pretty good movement, it probably lasted about 15 seconds, you could hear the building squeaking and creaking, yeah it kind of shook you up a little bit I guess," said Tyler native Bill Jamison calling from Norman Oklahoma.

Experts say Oklahoma has had about a thousand quakes since 2009, though most of them were very small. A large number of Texans were in Oklahoma for the Texas A & M-Oklahoma football game.
