UPDATE 10:25 PM- A Tyler man is jailed tonight, believed to be part of a 3-month long investigation of thefts for drugs.

Clinton Daniel McCaa, was arrested last night in connection to a major theft and methamphetamine ring.

Last night, authorities raided a home McCaa was reportedly leasing on Meadow Creek Drive in Tyler, near Rice Elementary School.

"It was loaded with police, DPS and SWAT teams- all kinds of action and we knew something was going on," said witness to the raid, Francie Hodges.

Hodges watched as authorities raided 31-year-old Clinton Daniel McCaa's home.

"It's just scary because in this neighborhood you just don't have those kinds of neighbors," said Hodges.

Court documents say this raid is connected to another raid that took place in July where DPS investigators uncovered a half a million dollars with of stolen property, which links back to McCaa, who is accused of stealing property and trading it for meth.

"Law enforcement officers were running in and out of the house; they were taking things. The canine unit was here. The dogs searched all over and found something that excited them" said Hodges.

Authorities knew exactly what they were searching for and discovered items in the home that were very similar to property reported as stolen.

"We do see cars and trucks coming and going. They've got things in trucks all the time; it seemed odd, but you never really thought anything major was happening," Hodges said.

Hodges watched as authorities...

"We definitely saw them detaining people with faces down on the ground," she said.

And just to add to the strangeness of last night...

"We heard a pop, and it seemed like the power went out but just at that house. Everything went dark," she said.

A night full of activity and few answers.

UPDATE: According to court documents, Clinton McCaa was arrested late Tuesday night in connection to a major theft and methamphetamine ring.
