Low Income Clinic Opens New Building

The Bethesda Health Clinic opened it's new building in Tyler Saturday.

The new building includes nine exam rooms, a lab, pharmacy and there's even a place for the kids to play while waiting.

The clinic is a venture of the First Baptist Church of Tyler, and is meant to help those with lower incomes and no health insurance.

Doctors who volunteer their services say it's a great asset for the community.

"I think it instills a sense of pride both in the volunteers but especially in the patients that come they feel like they are really being served with quality care, which is what we are giving." said Dr. Kendra King.

The clinic began operating in September but had to wait for it's new building to be finished.

The Bethesda Health Clinic is open Saturdays from 8 to 12 and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7. Call 903-596-8553 for appointments.
