Santa Pops
Cookie recipe:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon lemon peel or vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking power
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Mix sugar, shortening, milk, lemon peel and egg. Stir in flour, baking powder and baking soda. Heat oven 400 degrees.
Shape dough inot 1 1/4 balls.
Placeabout 2 inches a part on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with bottom of a glass, add popscicle stick , and add sugar on top.
Frosting
mix 1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 2-3 tablespoons of milk to make glaze and frost on cookies.
Add decorations to make look like santa
