The Pigslayer turns Bobcat Hunter

BIG SANDY, TX (KLTV) - A East Texas man says for the past week, he's noticed his geese disappearing one by one.

"I came out here and notice the goose was gone because he usually greets me with his little honk every morning and I saw a little scuffle in the sand," said BJ Upchurch, hunting for a bobcat.

So he set up a deer camera to make sense of the disappearing geese and woke up to a picture of a bobcat.

"When I saw that it was a bobcat I went online and researched how it worked and it said that a bobcat with bury its prey and come back for it later," said Upchurch.

Upchurch says he set out to find his last goose, and found it a couple of yards away from his house.

"As he was bringing the goose through the woods his wing got caught up in this brush he couldn't drag it any further so he decided to give some leaves on top of him and this is where I set the trap," said Upchurch.

When Upchurch returned, he says the trap was empty and the goose was gone.

"We chose to be in the wild to be away from everything and live in the country and the country is at our door step now and we have to deal with it," said Upchurch.

Upchurch says he's going to keep setting up traps until he traps the bobcat.
