ETX Community organizes benefit concert for Cheyenne Ramirez

WILLS POINT, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas community rallied together at a benefit concert to help the family of a mother who died from a terrible horse-riding accident.

18-year-old Cheyenne Ramirez died Tuesday morning from injuries she sustained in the accident, leaving behind her one year old son.

"It's very, very heart warming especially for my grandmother I mean it blows her mind, she couldn't believe that a community this small could come together to support a family in their time of need," said Tera Bell, Cheyenne's aunt.

Kathryn Farriell says when she got the news about Cheyenne's passing she knew she had to do something to help her family.

"She left her little 16 month old son Ryden behind and we just want to help them in any way that we can because Cheyenne was an amazing young woman and a great mother," said Kathryn Farriell, family friend.

So in memory of Cheyenne many bid on auction items, purchased ribbons and wore shirts that said country strong.

"It does help I mean nothing can really make it easier but it does help to know that this many people are behind us and supporting us thru this," said Tera.

If you would like to help Cheyenne's family, you can make donations at Citizen's National Bank in Wills Point, or at any American National Bank location.
