Released by the Jacksonville Police Department:

CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - On 10-07-2011 at approximately 06:30 am members of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department Swat Team executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in the 200 block of CR 3509 Cuney, Texas.

Three suspects were arrested at the scene including two subjects believed to be the homeowners and another individual who was also located inside the residence at the time of the raid.

After securing the scene Sheriff's Investigators conducted a search of the residence which yielded approximately nine grams of "crack" Cocaine, one and a half pounds of Marijuana and approximately $1,200 U.S. Currency which is believed to be proceeds from the selling of the narcotics.

Most of the narcotics that were seized had been packaged in a fashion that is indicative of the sale and/or distribution of the narcotics.

The search warrant was the end result of lengthy investigation by the Sheriff's Department and at least two of the suspects are well known to law enforcement and are believed to be responsible for supplying a large amount of narcotics into the community.

One subject who also was in the residence was identified and released without criminal charges and Child Protective Services (CPS) was called to the scene to assist with two small children that had been located inside the residence.

The search warrant was issued b y Cherokee County Court At Law Judge Craig Fletcher and all three individual were arraigned Friday by PCT #1 Justice Of The Peace Brenda Dominy.
