Final federal meth suspect makes 1st appearance

The final defendant of a 13-member federal meth conspiracy case made his first appearance in court on the charge this week.

Terry Lee Loving, 25, of Lufkin, appeared before Magistrate Zack Hawthorn on Monday. During the hearing, the judge appointed David Grove of Beaumont as his attorney, and set Thursday as the arraignment and detention hearing date. 

Loving will remain in custody until that hearing.

Loving and 12 others are accused of buying pseudeophedrine from various stores in East Texas to make meth.

In the past week, four members of a separate indictment have pleaded guilty to similar charges.

Below are the defendants in the 13-member indictment:

Krystal Nicole Slusher, 25, of Lufkin.

Tiffany Lorelle Stovall, 22, of Lufkin.

Mandy Nicole Slomba, 21, of Lufkin.

Steven Edward Beam, 25, of Huntington.

Loyd Leon McElreath Jr., 50, of Lufkin.

Amanda Hodges, 25, of Diboll.
