UPDATE: Possible suspect vehicle located in Wood Co. hit and run

UPDATE: A possible vehicle in the accident involving a 15-year-old Burrell has been located.

Authorities say there is a person of interest, however no arrests have been made.

UPDATE: The pedestrian victim in the hit and run crash that occurred last night on Hwy 69 in Wood County has died.  The victim is identified as 15 year old Jacob Mikal Burrell of Mineola Burrell was pronounced dead at approximately 10:30 am by Dr. Villarreal at ETMC – Tyler.   Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.   

UPDATE: The pedestrian involved in last nights hit and run on US 69 near Mineola is a 15 year old male.   The victim was taken to ETMC Tyler where he is currently listed in critical condition.  Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash and that occurred at approximately 8:17 pm last night on US 69, ½ mile North of Loop 564.  

WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - DPS troopers are seeking information on a hit and run that occurred at approximately 10pm this date [Tuesday, October 4].  

Suspected vehicle involved is believed to be a 2008 or newer white Chevrolet Avalanche with black plastic trim and 20 inch stock rims.   

The vehicle was last seen on Hwy 69 North in Mineola.  The vehicle should have damage to its front end and/or damage to its right front quarter panel.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Wood County Sheriff's Office at 903-763-2201 and reference CASE NUMBER 11-07582.
