Wounded Warriors honored Saturday

(KLTV) - Today wounded warriors from all over the county arrived in East Texas for a weekend full or praise.

They arrived at the Jet Center of Tyler, with a patriotic crowd awaiting to sing their praises. The crowd later moved to K.E. Bushman's winery and convention center in Bullard.

Dale Beatty from the National Guard of North Carolina told us, "People that never have know them before are coming out and hugging them and shaking their hands, so it's really a great justification for the sacrifices we make."

Later during the ceremony, planes flew overhead, in honor of those who were injured and those who gave their lives for freedom.

Tommy Robinson from the U.S. Army tells us, "A lot of people don't know that there's a lot of people that come back with issues."

Along with today's festivities, tomorrow there will be more at Hollytree County Club. Monday will be the "Texas wounded warrior pro-am" golf tournament.
