Constable Found Guilty Of Misdemeanor Charges

An East Texas constable has been found guilty of providing a false report to a peace officer. Those charges against Harrison county constable Robert Hagan stem from an earlier federal case accusing him of stealing Columbia shuttle debris. He was acquitted of those charges.

Wednesday, a jury decided he lied when he told the Harrison county sheriff he didn't keep any debris.  Hagan was given a suspended sentence pending probation. His peace officer's license is currently being reviewed.
