Man Charged With Throwing Child Against Wall

A Longview man is in jail on injury to a child charges, after allegedly throwing a baby against a wall. Around Thanksgiving, the baby's mother left the child in her boyfriend's care.

Last week, the 12 month old boy was flown to Dallas with severe injuries. One of the baby's siblings told police 20 year old Sir-Harold Collins threw the baby against a wall. Collins was arrested Wednesday by Longview police and charged with injury to a child.

Police say the boy suffered a fractured skull and several lacerations. Collins remains in the Gregg County jail on $75,000 bond.
