Body of an ETX soldier has been returned home

The body of an East Texas soldier, missing for 61 years, has been returned home.

Sergeant Lee Henry, Jr. fought during the Korean War and was killed at the age of 22.

This morning, soldiers, veterans and family gave him the welcome home he deserved.

DNA testing linked Sgt. Lee Henry, Jr. to his sister, and this morning, his remains arrived in Tyler. right where they belong.

Members of Tyler's Patriot Guard and "Welcome Home Soldiers" gathered around the funeral home as the hearse arrived.

Soldiers and veterans alike stood in salute, honoring Henry's memory.

Holding a picture of their lost loved one, family stood by as the casket was carried inside. With his casket comes hope.

And in the hands of hope, there is peace.

The family will have closure for the first time in all these years.
