The day before Thanksgiving is usually billed as the busiest travel day of the year, and at East Texas Airports, there were plenty of reunions.
The larger new terminal at Tyler Pounds Regional gave travelers plenty of room as airlines fly to Dallas, and now to Houston as well.
Going through larger airports is always stressful on a day like this. But for those whose journeys have just come to an end, it's time to think about the big day tomorrow.
"It just means being with family, sharing, being together and giving thanks," said Jennifer Pyka, who arrived back home from Minnesota.
If you're flying this evening, or anytime this holiday season, you're reminded to get to the airport at least an hour and 15 minutes before your flight. The plane will be locked up and taxiing usually a good 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
