New fire sparked in Rusk County

RUSK COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Authorities have confirmed that a new fire has sparked near CR 272 in Rusk County, northeast of Henderson.

We're told the fire is near the coal mines.

The grass fire is on CR 272 between FM 1716 and Hwy 43.

According to Rusk County Sheriff's Department, two dozers are on the scene helping to contain the fire.
