One structure taken in blaze near Kiepersol

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Authorities tell KLTV that a fire is burning between CR 113 and CR 119 near Kiepersol Estates, between Whitehouse and Bullard.

Approximately 20 acres have burned.

Twelve homes, and a total of nine people have been evacuated in the area.

One structure has been taken, no word on whether or not it was a home.

Crews are working to contain the blaze, but say shifting winds are making it difficult.

We have a crew on scene and will update you with more information as it becomes available.
