5 arrested for weed in two E. Texas traffic stops

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police arrested five men in two separate traffic stops after finding felony amounts of marijuana in their vehicles, according to reports.

The first stop occurred at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday, when police stopped a vehicle for running a red light on the 400 block of Northwest Loop 224. Police arrested Ricardo Burbridge Jr., 20, of Hamilton, Ohio, and Lynn Darnell Williams, 25, of Deatsville, Ala., after finding marijuana in the vehicle. The exact amount is not yet available, but it is between five and 50 pounds, enough for a third-degree felony charge.

The second stop came at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, when police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on the 2100 block of Northwest Loop 224. A probably cause search of the vehicle revealed an amount of marijuana weighing between four ounces and five pounds. Police arrested Johhny Dewayne Hardy, 37, Cameron Ray Manning, 21, and Joshua Darnell Manning, 21, all of Monroe, La.
