UPDATE: Late Tuesday night, Bossier Parish Sheriff's Officials confirmed that 33-year old Jennifer Johnson was found unharmed. After and interview with Johnson, detectives determined she made up a story of an alleged kidnapping that she told relatives. Johnson reportedly told the detectives she wanted to get away from her ex-husband and willingly came to Plain Dealing, Louisiana with another man she had met.

Johnson later admitted to concocting the kidnapping story and was booked into jail on charges of terrorizing for making communications of information that a crime of violence was in progress. No one else was arrested.

PLAIN DEALING, LA (KSLA) - A phone call and text from a woman whose family says hasn't been seen since Saturday has set off a search from East Texas to Northwest Louisiana.

Jennifer Marie (Dunn-Owens) Johnson, 33, of Longview, Texas, was reported missing by the Gregg County Sheriff's Office in Longview earlier this morning.

She was last seen on FM 2011 in Gregg County on Saturday.

Family members grew concerned after receiving a phone call and text to her aunt from a cell phone believed to belong to Johnson, indicating she was in some kind of danger.

Police will not elaborate on the exact nature and content of the communications from the cell phone.

Longview Police were able to track the signal through a cell phone tower in north Bossier Parish, prompting a widening of the search out of concern for her welfare.

The Bossier Sheriff's Department was contacted by the sheriff's office in Texas just before 5:00 Tuesday morning, and Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says the search in north Bossier Parish continues this afternoon.

So far, they say they have seen no signs of Johnson, or of any foul play.

Johnson is described as a white female, about 5 feet, 3 inches, weighing approximately 130 pounds.  She has light brown/blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Johnson in Bossier Parish is urged to contact the Bossier Sheriff's Department as soon as possible at 965-2203.  In Gregg County, contact the Sheriff's Office at (903) 237-2506.
