Make A Wish sends ETX girl and family to Disney World

LINDALE, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas girl has dreamed of becoming a princess and to meet a real prince. Turns out, the Make-A-Wish Foundation is about to make her dream come true.

KLTV 7's Annette Falconer introduces you to an excited little girl, with a life-threatening condition, who was crowned princess for the day by her classmates.

By this time tomorrow, 7-year old Madison Buck of Lindale and her family will be in Disney World.

Meeting the Disney princesses will be a dream come true.

"She loves anything that is princess, Disney princess's especially, so when she found out she was going to go meet all the Disney princess she's just ecstatic," says Madison's parents, Tom and Jennifer Buck.

Madison was born with the DiGeorge Syndrome. "It's a genetic defect and it has effected her heart, and that's where a majority of her life threatening problems are," says Jennifer Buck. She is missing part of a chromosome, causing a defect in her palate, and her heart.

The Bucks say, "Anytime she has some type of trauma, whether it be surgery or a fall, she just has this massive bleeding that goes with it."

Five open heart surgeries later, Make-A- Wish Foundation and Dr. Gott of Lindale, are sending Madison and her family to the place where dreams come true.

"She's very healthy right now she seems to be at a really good place, so we expect to have a really fun time," says the Bucks.

The Buck family leave early tomorrow morning, and will spend seven days in Orlando, visiting all the theme parks and Sea World.
