EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Severe Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon across parts of East Texas.

A strong outflow boundary from morning storms over Missouri is moving southwest into northeast Texas.  As this boundary moves into the area strong to possibly severe storms will develop.

The main threat with any storm will be strong gusty winds and numerous cloud to ground lightning.  Locally heavy rain will be possible as well cause water to pond on roadways.

Since most roads in East Texas have been dry for a while, oil on road surfaces will combine with rain to create very slick conditions.
