Driver arrested in crash that snarled traffic on Interstate 20

UPDATE 3:55p.m.: KLTV 7's Annette Falconer reports the driver of the car was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The person, who was a minor, was also cited for reckless driving.

The 18-wheeler was jack-knifed with the cab overturned. 

SMITH COUNTY (KLTV) - A crash along Interstate 20 in Smith County is causing some traffic problems Friday.

The crash was reported around 2:30p.m. on I-20 at the 564 mile marker. According to troopers on the scene a car reportedly veered in to the 18-wheeler's lane.

According to a KLTV 7 reporter on the scene an 18-wheeler is on its side. The 18-wheeler was carrying a load of carpet. The driver was taken to the hospital but was alert.
