ETX fugitive arrested in Mexico

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas man wanted for a deadly crash that happened in 2005 has been arrested.

Fifty-three-year-old Jamie Lee Coker was arrested this week in Mexico.

Investigators say Coker was driving drunk in February 2005 when he hit a car head-on.

Coker's wife 37-year-old Sonya Coker was killed in the crash. A woman in the other car, 80-year-old Martha Wallace was killed, three people in that car were seriously injured.

Coker was charged with two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and three counts of Intoxication Assault.

Just days before Coker was scheduled to enter a guilty plea, he disappeared.

While he was on the run, Coker was featured on America's Most Wanted website, at the request of Gregg County District Attorney William Jennings. 

Coker, who has been on the run for six years, was arrested in Cancun, Mexico and is being held in the Gregg County jail on a $5 million bond.

He is charged with two counts of Intoxicated Manslaughter and three counts of Intoxicated Assault.
