TIMPSON, TX (KTRE) - An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 14 year old girl who lives in Timpson, near Nacogdoches.

Andrea Fox has been missing since late overnight Monday.  Relatives say she left her grandmother's house in League City with a 21 year old man named James Dean Martin.  Searchers say she left a note saying she would be back in time for school next week.  Family members say Martin is friends with the girl's older brother.  It is not known what the relationship is with Andrea.

Martin is believed to have left Timpson to return to Fort Carson Base in Colorado Springs, Co.  Searchers say he called his mother at 11:30 Monday night and said he was in the Houston area.

They say Andrea went missing from League City, near Houston and haven't been heard from since Tuesday morning.  Motorists might see Amber Alert signs along the highways in Texas and possibly other states alerting you of the missing child.

Martin is 5'11", 150 lbs., blue eyes, blond hair, investigators are not sure what type of clothing he was wearing.  He might be driving a new blue Chevy Aveo, possibly with buyers tags.  He is in the Army stationed at Fort Carlson.

If you have any information on this child or suspect, you are urged to call League City Police Department (281-332-2566 or 281-338-4183), or Shelby County Sheriff's Office (936 598-5601), 9-1-1, or contact your local police department or Crime Stoppers.
