Streak of consecutive 100 degree days in Tyler has ended

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The streak of consecutive 100 degree days in the city of Tyler ended Saturday.

For the past 46 days, the city of Tyler has seen daily high temperatures of at least 100 degrees. Shattering the old record.

Saturday Tyler only reached 97 degrees, which is very close to the average high for this time of year.

Longview also did not hit 100 on Saturday, which ended their chances of breaking the record 21 consecutive days.

Lufkin did hit 101 today, which tied the record streak of 15 days. If Lufkin hits 100 on Sunday, it will set the new record of consecutive 100 degree days.
